Generic Amoxil is available in 125, 250 as well as 500 mg. It prevents the bacterium from thriving and eventually is killed. Thus the antibiotic helps in working against the bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, bronchitis, nose infections, throat infections, skin infections, ear infections, etc. People with allergies, asthma, liver diseases, kidney diseases and bleeding disorders should consult their doctor before using generic amoxil.

Follow the dosage prescribed by your doctor and take it as long as the doctor asks you to. The dosage prescribed for children is usually lesser than that of adults. But if you have a history of an allergy to Penicillin, you may develop a side effect. While consuming the amoxicillin orally, it is always recommended to mix it up with milk, water, ginger ale or fruit juice.

Store the pills in a dry and cool place and avoid it from direct heating as it can lead the tablet to break. Amoxil tablets are known to interact with certain drugs such as contraceptive pills and other drugs such as tetracap, doxycycline, erythromycin, etc. These drugs generally have negligible effect when taken along with amoxil. So when you are on a medication of other than that of amoxil it would be recommended to seek help from your doctor before starting on with the use of amoxil.
